This class is aimed at new and current students who already attended last year’s class Beginners. If you are unsure which class to book for your child, please email us on membership@theatrepeckham.co.uk before booking the place.

It is all about the skills young people learn at TP Dance Academy. Each discipline is thought by our exceptional tutors who are highly-qualified professionals, and some of the best tutors and performers in their fields. Our Dance Academy classes are for all skill levels from complete beginners to professional dancers. We teach excellence and ensure our young dancers learn dance skills as well as transferable skills that they will then be able to apply in every aspect of their life.

Tap dancing is a fun style of dance that anyone can learn, regardless of previous dance experience. Tap dancing is known to be beneficial in many ways, including increasing cardiovascular conditioning, strength, flexibility, and coordination. Cognitive abilities are also enhanced, as tap dancers must develop both mental and muscle memory to become proficient at tapping. Engaging in tap dancing also develops a great sense of rhythm and timing. Our tap tutors will help students to focus on music awareness while incorporating tap steps and combinations.
