PraSarita's parent and baby yoga is based on yoga-influenced movement and massage. It's a brilliant way to bond with your little ones. You'll learn techniques to soothe, relieve colic and improve sleep for your newborn. You're very welcome to feed and change your baby during the session. Dads are welcome too!
Hi! I'm Sarah, I'm a mum and a yoga teacher based in South London. I teach Parent & Baby and Vinyasa Flow classes in various venues in the area, as well as school groups and private classes. My classes are dynamic yet playful, flowing but structured, encouraging students to feel grounded and energised.
I structure sessions along the lines of Vinyasa and Hatha, although I also specialise in yin, restorative and acro-yoga.
After attending months of classes with my own baby, I gained a qualification with Birthlight to teach Post-natal and Parent & Baby yoga and, more recently, I qualified as a Pre-natal teacher with Appleyoga. This allows me to support mothers through pregnancy, and then both mothers and
fathers after their baby is born - in fact, I started running the first regular Dad & Baby yoga class in South London.
My background is in formal secondary education - I was a PSHE teacher & policy consultant for more than a decade. In 2012, I left to go travelling in Latin America, and it was there that I discovered yoga as a way of life. I qualified as a yoga teacher in 2013 and later completed my advanced training in India, studying the styles of Iyengar and Ashtanga with focus on alignment and adjustment, practicing under gurus in Mysore and learning Thai yoga massage to enhance my anatomical knowledge.
